To access the Nether in Minecraft, you need to build a Nether portal. To do this, you will need to gather obsidian blocks, which can be obtained by mining lava with a diamond or netherite pickaxe and then pouring water over the lava to turn it into obsidian. Once you have enough obsidian, you can build a rectangular frame (at least 4 blocks wide and 5 blocks tall) and light it with flint and steel to create the portal. Then, simply walk through the portal to enter the Nether. **

There are several reasons why your Nether portal may not be working. One common issue is that the portal may not be built correctly, with the frame not being the right size or shape. Another possibility is that the portal is not properly lit, as it requires a source of light such as flint and steel or a fire charge. Additionally, if there is any obstruction around the portal, such as blocks or water, it may prevent it from functioning properly. Finally, if the portal is too close to another portal in the Overworld, it may cause interference and prevent it from working. **
